This is a wonderful time to create an online business, over the past six years alone, the Internet and network marketing has created over 100,000 millionaires. Here are some of the best ways to jump in and start making money.

1. One of the most interesting home businesses today is finding and selling items over E-Bay or other auction sites. If you still live in your family home and there is a basement or attic with items passed on by parents or grandparents, this can be a veritable treasure trove. People love things that were built or made in earlier times ? anything from the 1970?s back.

Literally everything can be sold by on line auction ? from clothing from another era, to gadgets from the 50s, posters of events in the 30?s or 40?s, memorabilia from World War II and of course hot items popular today. There is a tremendous market for all these things.

To date there are around 20 on line auctions, just a few of them are: ebay.com, uBid.com, Bidz.com, Amazon.com and YahooAuctions.com. Do a search on each site to see what sorts of things are selling well, that you can easily get and sell yourself. Most of these also offer a free tutorial for getting started with them, both as a buyer and seller.

2. If you have some capital, set up your own web site. The options are to pay someone to design it for you and make it look professional, or buy a system that gives you the tools and guidance to do it yourself ? by far the less expensive route ? and this also enables you to grow or change the site as you wish, at any time. Now you can sell your own products direct, promote a business that is not reaching enough buyers but has a good item or service, or both.

3. Become an affiliate ? sell goods and services for other businesses and make a commission on each sale- this can be done with your own created web site, through your own free web site, or simply by spreading the word about the product and providing a link to the sales page on the company?s web site, which then does the closing for you. You can also be an affiliate if you have your own web site, by adding the company link for visitors to click on.

You can choose to sell one specific product for a company, or sign up with a company like Clickbank and promote numerous items. Many of the companies with a well organized affiliate program will also supply ideas on how to market the products. There are literally hundreds to choose from. You can opt to sell everything from designer handbags or jeans, the latest electronic gadgets, web hosting, on line gambling, or how to e-books on every subject. 4. If you like writing, why not create a book, and sell it online? With computers and specific software now available it is not difficult to write an e-book, and sell over the Internet. First do a bit of research to discover what topics are hot right now, check out what has already been written on it, then create your own e-book ? just choose a different slant or fill in any gaps in material already written on the subject.
